The Hot Springs Farmers & Artisans Market has reached capacity for this event, and is no longer accepting applications. Thank you for your interest in our first Arts & Crafts at the Market. “Arts & Crafts at the Market” is a one-day show-and-sale at the Hot Springs Farmers & Artisans Market on Saturday, October 17, 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Farmers Market Pavilion, 121 Orange St, downtown. “It’s more of an artisan appreciation day,” said Meredith Finn, Historic Downtown Farmers Market Board of Directors President. “Due to the pandemic, artisans were excluded from the Market for almost four months, and at the same time, many of the restaurant and hospitality jobs artisans rely on in the lean times vanished. And then the summer and autumn arts and crafts fairs, many artisans’ biggest pay days, were canceled. I didn’t think it was fair. The artisans keep our Market viable through Winter Market, so if it wasn’t for them, we’d be closed November-April. I thought we needed to show our local artisans some love in 2020, so I presented my idea of an arts and crafts event to the board and the vendors; it was a unanimous decision to host one. We are proud to offer this event to our local artisans and community,” said Finn. Interested in being a vendor at the “Arts & Crafts at the Market” in October? Please read through the HDFM Rules & Regulations and Code of Conduct/Grievance Policy, the AR Dept of Health’s “Directive Regarding Large Outdoor Venues” and “Cottage Food Laws” (if applicable) prior to filling out and submitting your completed application. Deadline is October 10, 2020.
